Police are keen to speak to a limousine driver they think may have witnessed a crash that killed a teenager last Friday.

Brad Williamson, 14, was riding a white Vertigo motorbike when it collided with a car on Silverknowes Road in Edinburgh at around 4pm on Friday, June 10.

The motorcycle struck a black Toyota Aygo near the junction with Silverknowes Court.

The teenager was carrying a passenger, also 14, who suffered serious injuries.

Both boys were taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

Brad died at the hospital on Saturday morning.

The passenger was reported to be in a serious but stable condition on Monday.

The 39-year-old driver of the Toyota Aygo was reported as uninjured.

The Edinburgh Police Division said in a statement on Facebook: "Officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances surrounding this, and are appealing for the driver of a white limousine-style vehicle who may have witnessed this collision to get in touch."

Police added the vehicle "was seen in the immediate vicinity at the time and may have been taking students to a school prom at the Village Resort in Ferry Road".

Officers are appealing for anyone with information regarding the crash to get in touch on 101.
