Concerns are growing for the welfare of an Edinburgh man who has not been seen for two weeks.

Stuart Hamilton, from the Gorgie area of the city, is believed to have travelled from the capital to Manchester on Sunday.

Officers believe the 37-year-old may still be in Greater Manchester and have urged anyone with information to get in touch.

Mr Hamilton is white, around 6ft 2in tall, with a medium build and short, dark, receding hair.

Inspector Jonathan Elliot of Drylaw Police Station said: "Stuart has not been seen for two weeks and we are eager to trace him as soon as possible.

"Anyone who has seen Stuart in the Edinburgh area in the last few weeks, or recognises his description, is asked to get in touch with us immediately.

"If would also asked anyone who is aware of Stuart's whereabouts in the Greater Manchester area to contact Police Scotland at their first opportunity."

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
