Two cars in rush hour crash on busy Edinburgh road
Female driver taken to hospital after being cut out of a vehicle on Broughton Road.
A woman has been taken to hospital after two cars crashed during rush hour.
The Vauxhall Insignia and Volkswagen Polo collided on Broughton Road, near the junction with Pilrig Street, at around 8.40am.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the female driver of the Vauxhall, who was then taken to hospital.
Her injuries are not thought to be serious. No one else was injured.
The road reopened shortly before 11am.
