Man charged with murder after 'stabbing' in Kirkcaldy

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after an alleged stabbing in Kirkcaldy.
James Beveridge died in hospital after officers were called to Farne Court, Templehill, on Saturday.
William Paterson, 45, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
Paterson, from Methil, faced a single charge of murder.
He made no plea or declaration and the case was committed for further examination.
Paterson was remanded in custody and a second court hearing will be scheduled within the next week.
