A teacher is facing a watchdog hearing accused of making inappropriate comments to a colleague and asking her for "just one kiss".

Nabil Ramzy allegedly told his fellow teacher he was jealous of her partner, shut her in a room and began to "stroke her hair" and approached her in a cupboard and hugged her.

The 45-year-old was employed as an English as an additional language (EAL) teacher by Fife Council between November 2008 and January 2010, when he is said to have "acted in an inappropriate manner towards (his) colleague".

Mr Ramzy's case is due to be heard by the fitness to practise panel of the General Teaching Council for Scotland next week.

He is accused of making a comment to his colleague "regarding her chest size" in Edinburgh on November 14, 2008.

Days later in Cardenden, Fife, Mr Ramzy allegedly shut the woman in a room, told her he was "jealous of her partner" and asked her for "just one kiss" so he her would leave her alone.

The teaching watchdog has accused him of another incident involving his colleague when he allegedly shut her in a room and began to "stroke her hair".

Between May 2009 and January 2010, Mr Ramzy is accused of approaching the woman in a cupboard and giving her a hug.

Mr Ramzy faces a further allegation of behaving in an "inappropriate manner" to another colleague at St Andrew's High School in Kirkcaldy in April 2012, by touching her hand and neck.

The EAL teacher faces the hearing accused of being "unfit to teach" as a result of breaching the professional code of conduct.
