Kim Kardashian has dropped a lawsuit against a US website which claimed she had faked the armed robbery of £8 million worth of her jewellery in Paris.

The reality star had filed a defamation lawsuit against celebrity gossip site MediaTakeOut.com - who also alleged she filed a fake insurance claim.

But her lawyer said the two sides had now resolved the issue.

The lawsuit has been withdrawn without prejudice - which means she could refile it at a later date if she wanted to.

Police are still hunting five men who Kim says forced their way into her luxury apartment and tied her up during the robbery on October 3.

Since then Kim - who is married to rapper Kanye West - has stopped filming her family TV show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and cancelled other business and social engagements.

The 35-year-old mother-of-two has been criticised for "showing off her wealth" by posting a close-up of her engagement ring on social media three days before the robbery.
