Missing hillwalker who sparked large search is found safe
Mark Flinn was in need of 'slight medical attention' when he was located by rescue teams.
A hillwalker who disappeared after setting off on a walk in the Highlands at the weekend has been found safe.
Mark Flinn, 68, was last seen leaving his accommodation in Achintraid in Wester Ross at around 9am on Sunday.
A major search operation was launched by Police Scotland and mountain rescue teams in the Loch Kishorn area in a bid to find Mr Flinn.
Police confirmed on Monday afternoon that he had been found safe on a mountain, where he was in need of "slight medical attention".
Police Scotland said officers wanted to thank everyone involved in the search, with particular thanks to Torridon Mountain Rescue team.
A police spokesman said: "Mr Flinn isn't seriously injured and will receive treatment at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness."
