The sister of a climber killed in a fall near Ben Nevis has raised more than £3000 for mountain rescuers.

Kieran Shaw, 21, fell while climbing the east gully of Aonach Mor on Sunday afternoon.

The Argyll mountaineer was airlifted to Belford Hospital in Fort William, where he died of his injuries.

His sister Hannah is now raising money for the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, which helped recover Mr Shaw.

About 130 people have donated around £3300 to the cause so far.

Ms Shaw said: "It honestly feels like losing a part of yourself and I still expect every second that he is about to walk through the front door.

"My brother was the bravest, kindest most courageous person who died doing what he loved."
