Two people have been reported after an attack outside a Domino's Pizza which left a man with head injuries.

The assault happened near the takeaway on Academy Street in Inverness shortly after midnight on Friday.

The victim of the attack was treated for head and facial injuries at Raigmore Hospital.

Two men, aged 23 and 24, have been reported to the procurator fiscal in Inverness.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Just after midnight on Friday going into Saturday morning a man was involved in an incident near the Domino's Pizza premises on Academy Street, Inverness.

"He sustained head and facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

"As a result of this incident two men aged 23 and 24 have been reported to the procurator fiscal, Inverness."
