Cannabis worth more than £46,000 has been seized from a flat in Aberdeen.

Police recovered the drugs during a search in Urquhart Road on Sunday, following a tip-off from a member of the public.

A 29-year-old man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the seizure.

Detective constable Kim Duncan, the investigating officer, said: "I would like to thank members of the public for reporting their suspicions, which resulted in us being able to take positive action at the address.

"A significant quantity of controlled drugs have been removed from the streets of Aberdeen and I hope that our actions demonstrate to the public our willingness to listen to their concerns and act upon the intelligence they provide us".
