Firefighters battled overnight to tackle a large house fire in an Aberdeenshire village.

There were 30 firefighters involved at the height of the blaze at a property in Dunecht.

The fire broke out at 12.30am and was finally extinguished by 3am on Tuesday.

No one was injured in the incident.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We had 30 firefighters in total, using two jets, two hose reels and eight sets of breathing apparatus at the height of it.

"There were no casualties or rescues."
