Three men have appeared in court after a haul of crack cocaine and heroin worth £100,000 was seized in Aberdeen.

Officers recovered the drugs in the Hilton and George Street areas of the city on Friday.

Robert Bell, 62, Mark Simpson, 46, and Lee Wallace, 38, all from Aberdeen, made no plea at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and were bailed.

Two other men, aged 37 and 36, were released and did not appear in court, but the case against them remains live.

A Crown Office spokeswoman said: "The procurator fiscal received a report concerning two men, aged 37 and 46, in connection with alleged offences between July 1, 2011, and July 22, 2016.

"Both accused were liberated from custody and did not appear in court."
