Three people have been charged after a man was stabbed near an Aberdeen shopping centre.

The 41-year-old was found seriously injured outside the College Street car park beside Union Square on Thursday.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Two men, aged 42 and 35, and a woman, 32, have been charged in relation to an assault, police said.

They are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: "We can confirm that two men aged 35 and 42 and a woman aged 32 have been charged following an assault in the College Street area of Aberdeen on Thursday."
