A teenager who was caught driving more than four times the legal limit has been banned from the road.

Jenna Gaudie had pleaded guilty to three driving charges in Aberdeen.

The 19-year-old admitted taking a Vauxhall Astra on July 24 without the owner's consent.

She was later caught driving it near a BP station on North Esplanade West.

Gaudie had 89 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath when stopped at the BP garage, while the legal limit is 22mg. She also admitted driving the car without insurance.

She had survived a fatal motorbike crash in July 2013 which killed her boyfriend Terry Crook.

They were both flung from the Yamaha when it was hit by a car on a busy road in Aberdeen.

She appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday where she was disqualified from driving for a year and placed under supervision for eight months.
