Music revellers are rewinding back to the 80s as a music festival returns to Perthshire.

Rewind Festival launched on Friday at Scone Palace for three days of 80s gold.

Legendary acts like Status Quo, Gipsy Kings, Bonnie Tyler and Tiffany are among the many stars making an appearance at its ten year anniversary extravaganza .

Rewind made its suitably glittery debut at Henley-on-Thames in 2009, and has grown in size and popularity each year.

In 2014, the festival expanded to three different locations, bringing hours of 80s hits that have soundtracked and shaped a generation up to Scotland.

This year's line-up is bringing stars who graced the stage at the inaugural festival back, including Heaven 17, Midge Ure and Howard Jones.

Francis Rossi From Status Quo said they "can't wait to take the stage".

He said: "The band are big fans of the Rewind Festivals, there's always a great atmosphere and a welcoming crowd, so we can't wait to take to the stage at Rewind Scotland and play some of everyone's favourite Quo classics! See you there!"

Event organiser Katt Alexander promised reveller's that this year's event will "take the festival to new heights".

"The Rewind team is really excited to stage the 10th edition of the festival, and celebrate our birthday up and down the country at all three festivals with our fantastic crowd," he said.

"With a line-up packed full of iconic artists proving that this music really is forever, 2018's events promise to build on the huge popularity of the festival to date.

"Alongside favourite music, we will be taking the festival to new heights with more performances, entertainment and experiences than ever before."

Festival goers at Scone Palace will be treated to their favourite hits from Friday until Sunday.

Rewind's other two fixtures will take place in Cheshire and Henley-on-Thames across two weekends in August.
