Elderly man taken to hospital after being injured in fire at flat
Fife Fire and Rescue were called to a fire at Letham Terrace in Leven.
An elderly man has been taken to hospital after a fire at a flat in Leven in Fife.
Fire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze in Letham Terrace at around 4pm on Wednesday.
The man, who was understood to have suffered substantial burns, was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
A spokeswoman for Fife Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire was in a first floor flat. Two units attended from Methil. The fire service took an elderly man out of the building and he was treated by paramedics."
Fife Constabulary were also called to the blaze.
