Driver killed in early morning accident in Dalry
66-year-old man dies after apparently losing control of his car.
A 66-year-old man has died after his car crashed into a wall in Dalry in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
At around 02.10am the man was driving a blue coloured Seat Ibiza car along the town's Kirkland Crescent when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and collided with a wall at the junction with Wingfaulds Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released details of the driver's name until his family have been informed.
No-one else was in the car and no other vehicles were involved in the crash, and a report is to be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
