Detectives probing the deaths of two sisters-in-law at a flat have issued a fresh appeal for information.

Mary Archibald, 51, and Sharon Dodd or Archibald, 46, were found dead at Dalserf Court in the east end of Glasgow on Sunday.

Carbon monoxide poisoning was investigated as a possible cause for the deaths, and residents were evacuated from their homes as checks were carried out.

On Monday, Police Scotland said the boiler in the flat in the Gallowgate area of the city was found to be in working order with no faults. There were no other gas appliances in the flat.

The force are now trying to piece together their last known movements and have appealed to the public for any assistance they can give.

Detective inspector Ogilvie Ross, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: "As part of the ongoing investigation we are trying to establish their last known movements and I would ask anyone who knew Sharon or Mary, who spoke to them, or saw them on Saturday or early on Sunday who have not yet came forward to police to contact us at London Road Police Office through the non-emergency number 101."

Post-mortem examinations will take place in due course to establish the cause of death but at this time the deaths are being treated as unexplained. There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
