Man held after 'paedophile on the loose' Asda Tannoy prank

A man has been arrested after a prank announcement that a "paedophile is on the loose" was made over a supermarket Tannoy.
The incident, on Friday, May 13, took place at the Asda in upmarket Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire.
Police Scotland said a 28-year-old man had been arrested and detained in connection with an alleged breach of the peace.
During the incident, a man is alleged to have said over the public address system: "Attention valued shoppers. Please evacuate the building.
"There is a paedophile on the loose. I repeat, there is a paedophile on the loose."
