Firefighters battled to free the trapped driver of a car which flipped on to its roof in a Glasgow car park.

The car came to rest on top of two other vehicles in the Springfield Quay car park.

A barrier, bushes and tree were also damaged during the incident shortly after 1pm on Friday.

A passer-by who ran to the driver's aid in the busy car park said the man appeared to be uninjured.

He could not explain how the accident happened but police said three vehicles were involved.

The man was freed by firefighters and checked over by paramedics but was not seriously injured.

A large-scale emergency service response is in attendance at the entertainment complex including around five fire engines, ambulances and police.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said three cars had been involved in the incident but no one was injured.
