A man has been arrested in connection with a double shooting in a Glasgow street two weeks ago.

The incident happened in Govan in the south side of the city on the night of July 11 and left two men seriously injured.

The men, aged 22 and 24, went to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after the incident on Langlands Road.

Detectives have confirmed a 22-year-old man has been arrested and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "A 22-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident.

"Police enquiries are continuing. A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
