A pedestrian has been injured after being hit by a vehicle at the back of the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene after the man, believed to be in his 20s, was knocked down on Killermont Street.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment and remains in a stable condition.

The incident happened just before 2pm on Wednesday but it is not believed to be a hit-and-run.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Emergency services were called to a road crash at around 1.55pm on Killermont Street, Glasgow.

"The incident involved a pedestrian and a vehicle but there are no further details at this time."
