Pedestrians were surprised to see some unorthodox parking on a Glasgow street on Sunday afternoon.

The scene resulted from a Volkswagen rolling backwards down an incline and over a wall before coming to a stop - with its rear bumper perched on the roof of a Fiat parked beneath.

The incident happened on Southpark Avenue in the city's west end around 3.30pm on Sunday.

Police are aware contacted the two owners before a removal operation got under way around 6pm.

A spokeswoman said both vehicles were unoccupied and there were no reports of any injuries.
