A brawl broke out between revellers on a bus going to a music festival.

One man was arrested and another injured in the incident on Friday morning in Larkhall, South Lanarkshire.

The coach was forced to pull over and police were called to the scene on Carlisle Road at around 10.15am after trouble broke out on board.

It is understood the bus was carrying revellers to the Creamfields music festival in Cheshire, England.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 10.15am on Friday August 26, police received a report of a disturbance on a bus on Carlisle Road at Middleton Avenue, Larkhall.

"One man was arrested in connection with the incident. Another male was treated at the scene by paramedics for a head injury."
