A busy city road has been shut after multiple vehicles were involved in collision with a bus at rush hour in Glasgow.

The crash happened shortly before 5pm on Dumbarton Road at its junction with Harland Street in the Scotstoun area.

The road was shut in both directions after the crash between the five vehicles.

An ambulance was called to the scene but there are no details of any injuries.

A police spokeswoman said: "A number of cars involved in a bump on Dumbarton Road near the Bank of Scotland.

"We have closed the road between the Thornwood roundabout and Balmoral Street."
