Car bursts into flames outside nightclub forcing road closure
A road was cordoned off as firefighters battled a car blaze in the Shawlands area of Glasgow.
A car has burst into flames outside a popular Glasgow nightclub early on Saturday evening.
The blaze on Pollokshaws Road forced the closure of the southbound slip road onto Langside Avenue as firefighters attended the scene.
Emergency services were called to the fire at 5.17pm, which was just outside Shawlands club The Shed.
No one is thought to have been injured in the incident.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "One appliance was sent to the scene.
"Two high-pressured hoses were used to put out the blaze, with one firefighter wearing breathing apparatus.
"The appliance has now left the scene but police remain in attendance."
