Four lanes of a busy motorway have been closed after a second car fire on the road on the same day.

The car caught fire on lane two of junction 16 at Craighall in Glasgow.

Four lanes have been closed westbound as emergency services deal with the issue.

The closures are expected to last around 15 minutes but delays are expected to continue after it has been cleared.

It is the second car fire on the M8 in less than an hour after another fire blocked lane three at Junction25a Barrhead.

One lane, which has now reopened, was also closed for 15 minutes and is still experiencing delays.
