Two in court on drugs charges following police raids in Glasgow
A man is accused of producing Class A drugs in connection with a heroin haul in Glasgow.
Two people have appeared in court after police recovered £3.5m worth of heroin in raids on two properties.
Kevin Farrell, 26, and Jade Moffat, 28, both from Glasgow, are both accused of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.
The two accused made no plea or declaration during a brief appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday. Farrell is also charged with producing Class A drugs.
Farrell was remanded in custody pending a further court appearance next week, while Moffat was released on bail.
Police found cannabis worth £175,000 as well as heroin during a search of properties in Shawhill Road, Shawlands, Glasgow, and Mavisbank Gardens in Kinning Park on Wednesday.
Officers also searched a unit on an industrial estate in Lloyd Street, Rutherglen, in South Lanarkshire, in the course of the operation.
