Sergio Busquets ruled out for Barcelona's Champions League ties with Celtic
The midfielder joins a growing band of absentees for the group stage double header.
Sergio Busquets has been banned for two matches by UEFA, ruling the Barcelona midfielder out of their forthcoming double header with Celtic.
The midfielder was dismissed late on in his side's 2-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League group stage last week, following a poor tackle on Maxi Pereira.
Busquets has the right of appeal within three days but looks set to join a growing band of absentees for the games on October 23 and November 7.
Carles Puyol is out for the next five weeks with a dislocated elbow suffered in the match with Benfica.
His central defensive partner, Gerard Pique, has a foot injury which ruled him out of the Spain squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers with France and Belarus, although he could be fit to face Celtic.
Daniel Alves will miss the next three weeks after picking up a knock in the draw with Real Madrid and joins long-term absentees Marc Muniesa and Thiago Alcantara on the sidelines.
Eric Abidal remains out of action following his liver transplant but, after seven months out, returned to light training this week.
