Rangers defender Chris Hegarty accused of 'stamp' on Montrose player
The Northern Irishman has been served with a notice of compliant from the Scottish FA.
Rangers defender Chris Hegarty has been served with a notice of compliant over an alleged stamp on a Montrose player.
The Northern Irishman has been offered a two-match ban for the incident or he can choose to take the matter to a tribunal.
Hegarty is accused of breaching disciplinary rule 200, regarding violent conduct by “stamping on an opposing player” during the 0-0 draw.
A principal hearing date has been set for Thursday, April 11. Hegarty has until Thursday, April 4 to respond.
The 20-year-old has made 27 appearances for Ally McCoist’s men this term.
