A look at the leading outlets in Italy as they reflect on the Old Lady's 3-0 victory at Celtic Park.

While the Scottish press pick over Celtic’s performance against Juventus, as you can imagine the mood is very different in the Italian meida.

Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose and referee Alberto Undiano Mallenco are back page news here but in Italy it is all about Antonio Conte and his players.

Most titles describe the victory as hard-fought for the Bianconeri, with several mentions of the red-hot atmosphere inside the stadium.

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio comes in for special praise for his display in Glasgow with many newspapers agreeing his second goal killed off hopes of a Celtic comeback.

Alessandro Matri has taken his share of the plaudits too, with Antonio Conte pleased with the striker’s work-rate.

Here’s the verdict of four of the country’s top titles:

La Gazetta dello Sport: Juventus turn on the style in Scotland

La Gazetta were impressed with Juventus’ display against Neil Lennon’s side, claiming the Italians now have one foot in the quarter-finals.

Despite the comprehensive scoreline, the paper notes that this was not an easy match for the Old Lady and adds that the atmosphere ‘was even noisier than a disco on a Saturday night’.

They also point to Celtic being unable to play at the same pace in the second half as they did in the first 45 minutes, allowing Marchisio to make the result safe with the second goal of the game.

Writer Riccardo Pratesi says Conte can start preparing for the next round with the return leg described as a formality.

TuttoSport: Marchisio: Let’s enjoy this victory

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio was delighted with his contribution on the night, grabbing the second goal in the 3-0 win.

The Italy international says the result can allow the team to focus on their league form for the next few weeks.

The 27-year-old felt he and his team-mates put in a gritty performance, adding that before kick-off they had spoken of the importance of taking at least one away goal from Glasgow.

In the paper’s main match report it describes Neil Lennon’s team as ‘a brave bunch’ with Kris Commons identified as the hosts' danger man on the night.

Corriere dello Sport: Conte hails a great result and a great atmosphere

Antonio Conte was blown away by the crowd at Celtic Park, saying “we'd heard about it, but living it is something else."

Having beaten Barcelona and Benfica at Parkhead, the Bianconeri coach praised his defence for dealing with all the home side had to throw at them.

In his report Vladimiro Cotugno says Efe Ambrose may still have been ‘intoxicated by his African Cup of Nations victory’ while making his error for the first goal.

He also describes Kris Commons and Gary Hooper as ‘two bulls’, full of determination.

Claudio Marchisio is labelled ‘a young prince’ with ‘Celtic Park forced to bow to him’ as he scored the second goal for the Italians.

La Stampa: This group is growing

La Stampa leads with the words of Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon who admits the final score doesn’t tell the whole story of the match.

The 35-year-old says the Old Lady had to remain solid at Celtic Park, believing they capitalised whenever they had chances to score.

La Stampa also carries praise from coach Conte for striker Alessandro Matri.

Comparing their careers, Conte adds ‘just as I did, Matri has worked hard to prove he belongs at a club like Juventus.’
