Concern is growing for a man who has been missing from his home in Glenrothes for three days.

Darren Aitchison, 30, was last seen in Jedburgh in the Borders on Tuesday and police believe he may be in Edinburgh.

Mr Aitchison has not been in contact with friends or family and concern is now growing for his welfare.

He is described as white, around 6ft 2in tall, of slim build with short dark hair.

It is believed Mr Aitchison is wearing a yellow T-shirt, VOI jeans, blue suede Adidas trainers and a black bomber style jacket.

Police confirmed that he has connections in Jedburgh, Glenrothes and Bathgate and tends to travel by bus.

Inspector Joanne McEwan, of Glenrothes Police Station, said: "I'm appealing for Darren to get in touch with police so that we can establish if he's safe and well.

"Similarly, anyone who has seen or spoken to him since Tuesday is asked to contact us."

Those with any information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
