Two lorries have been blown over by high winds in East Lothian leaving the A1 blocked

The incident happened on the Dunbar and Haddington road on Tuesday morning.

Police were made aware of the crash on the bridge over the River Tyne at 8.20am.

One of the HGVs fell onto the central reservation, while the other is blocking the outside northbound lane.

It is unclear whether anyone has been injured.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Two HGVs have blown over on the A1 northbound between Haddington and Dunbar, blocking lane two.

"We've also been advised that there is debris on southbound carriageway. Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution."
