A search has been launched for a man who has gone missing from West Lothian.

Allan Shepherd was last seen in Fauldhouse at about 7pm on Tuesday.

The 56-year-old has not been in contact with friends or family since and there are growing concerns for his welfare.

Mr Shepherd, who is 6ft 4in, is a regular user of a gym in Fauldhouse. He has a slim build and short grey hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black fleece and black boots.

Inspector Marion Steele, of Livingston Police Station, said: “We are carrying out various inquiries to trace Allan and are now asking the public to assist us since Allan has been missing since yesterday evening.

“This is out of character for Allan and we are now growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101.
