Police have issued CCTV images of a man they wish to question over three assaults in Dunfermline.

Officers have been investigating a number of incidents in the Fife town on Saturday, February 6.

A 38-year-old man needed medical treatment for facial injuries after being assaulted in the Tappie Toories pub, Kirkgate, at around 11.50pm.

Two further assaults took place on the same night near the Life Nightclub in Kirkgate and the Brasshouse in Carnegie Drive.

Officers said the man pictured in the CCTV images may be able to assist them with their investigation.

He is aged between 35 and 45, 5ft 7in to 5ft 10in tall and of medium build. He has short brown hair and a tattoo on the right side of his neck. He was wearing medium colour jeans, a dark T-shirt which was possibly a football shirt, a dark zip jacket that was open at the front and white trainers.

Sergeant Neil McGurk said: "These were unprovoked attacks and we are continuing with our inquiries to trace the suspect.

"The man pictured is of interest to our investigation and anyone who can help us establish his identity is urged to contact police immediately."
