Feline student mascot goes missing from library haunt
Cult social media's Library Cat has not been seen in University of Edinburgh grounds for a week.
A cat which sparked a cult social media following after being adopted by the University of Edinburgh library has gone missing.
Affectionately known as Library Cat, the black and white pet has been a familiar face to students at the George Square complex and amassed more than 16,000 followers on Facebook.
Staff and students became so fond of him - and the spoof social media accounts which documented his movements - that he was given an honorary matriculation card in December 2014.
The university announced on Twitter on Tuesday that the cat had been missing from its library haunt since Sunday, March 13.
