Two teenagers have appeared in court charged with the murders of a Scots mother and daughter found dead at their home in Spalding on Friday.

A boy aged 15 and girl aged 14 - who cannot be named for legal reasons - sat in the dock at Lincoln Magistrates' Court this morning as prosecutors outlined the case against them.

They are charged with the murders of Elizabeth Edwards, a 49-year-old school dinner lady, originally from Edinburgh, and her 13-year-old daughter Katie, who were found dead last Friday afternoon at their house in Dawson Avenue, Spalding.

The teenagers will appear at a bail hearing at Lincoln Crown Court this afternoon.
