Two lorries burst into flames following a collision on the A92 in Fife.

The vehicles collided in standing traffic near the Lochgelly Interchange just before the turn off to the B9149.

No one was injured in the crash, which took place on Wednesday at around 9.35am.

Flames engulfed the lorries and black smoke could be seen from the Edinburgh side of the Forth Road Bridge.

The road was closed on Wednesday morning as police and fire services dealt with the incident.

The westbound carriageway was partially reopened from 2pm, however the area around the accident remains closed.

A police spokesman said: "Motorists are being diverted via the Lochgelly off-slip before re-entering the A92 at the Lochgelly on-slip.

"We thank everyone for their patience and cooperation."
