A street has been cordoned off and is being guarded by police after the discovery of a man's body.

The find was made in Forrester Park Drive, Edinburgh, in the early hours of Wednesday.

An officer stood guard beside a bush which appeared to have plastic sheeting placed within it.

Police said the man's death was not believed to be suspicious but inquiries were at an early stage.

A force spokesman said: "Police in Edinburgh responded to Forrester Park Drive at around 1.30am on Wednesday, April 20, after a man's body was found in the street.

"Inquiries are ongoing to identify the male and at this time there appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death."
