Man charged for 'crashing Ford Mondeo into local Co-op'
Police have traced the driver who allegedly crashed into the wall of a Kirkcaldy Co-op.
A man has been charged after a Ford Mondeo crashed into the wall of a Co-op.
The incident saw a silver Ford Mondeo fall down an embankment in the early hours of Tuesday before crashing into the shop building on Bennochy Road, Kirkcaldy.
The car crashed through a wooden fence surrounding the Co-op and knocked a hole in one of its walls.
Police uplifted the car on Tuesday afternoon and have been making door-to-door enquiries in the area.
A local resident reported the incident to police at around 5.40am, after initially hearing a loud bang at 3.15am.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A man in his 30s has been charged with various road traffic offences and reported to the procurator fiscal."
