Man charged with train station assault after Scottish Cup final
Police detained the 23-year-old after a 37-year-old was injured at Haymarket station.
A man has been charged with assaulting another man at a train station after the Scottish Cup final.
Detectives launched an investigation after a 37-year-old man was injured at Haymarket station in Edinburgh on Saturday, May 21, after the Rangers v Hibs match at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
The incident is said to have happened on platform three of the station at around 9.45pm. The man was taken to hospital with a head injury.
On Thursday, 23-year-old Anthony Lewis appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court where he was charged with the assault.
Lewis made no plea made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
