The family of Robert Kennedy have been informed of his movements in the days leading up to his death.

Police were able to pass on the details after a public appeal for information drew a huge response.

The 63-year-old, formerly a roadie for rock band Nazareth, was found unconscious in his home on Halbeath Road in Dunfermline on Wednesday, June 1.

He was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy but later died.

Detective inspector John Anderson said: "Following our earlier appeal for information we had an excellent response from members of the public that has provided us with a clear picture of Robert's movements over the course of the weekend prior to his death up until he was last seen on the morning of Sunday May 29th.

"This information has allowed us to provide Robert's family with a detailed account of his last movements and some comfort surrounding the circumstances of his death.

"We continue to appeal for anyone who saw Robert between the date he was last seen, Sunday, May 29, and Wednesday, June 1, when he was found within his home address.

"During our inquires we have learned that Robert was also seen with injuries to his face after he had been to the Leroy Day charity music event at PJ Molloys on Sunday, May 1.

"We still do not know for certain how he came by these injuries and would appeal for anyone with any information that may be relevant to contact us."

Anyone with any further information should contact Police Scotland on their 101 number.
