Stuart Wishart, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene on the A72 near Galashiels on Monday.

"Our enquiries continue and I'd urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or seen either vehicle shortly beforehand, to get in touch.

"I also want to thank the local community for their patience while road closures were in place and investigations conducted at the scene."
