The artist behind an iconic Scottish tourist attraction has unveiled a new creation to help celebrate the 150th anniversary of an Edinburgh jeweller.

Andy Scott, who designed the Kelpies equine sculptures in Falkirk, teamed up with Hamilton and Inches to create a new public artwork outside its flagship George Street store.

He unveiled a 14ft galvanised steel sculpture of a chariot horse, entitled The Rook, on Monday morning.

As part of the anniversary collaboration, Hamilton and Inches has unveiled a range of Kelpies-inspired pieces which have been handcrafted in silver.

The Rook is part of the wider Game of Kings chess set, designed by Mr Scott and Hamilton and Inches.

The full chess set of equine figures will only be created if it is commissioned, however the intricate designs are on display in the store.

The Rook will remain on exhibition in Edinburgh until the end of September.
