A man exposed himself in a quiet lane in an East Lothian town, prompting a police appeal.

The suspect, believed to be around 20 years old, was seen carrying out the indecent act near rubbish bins at The Parsonage, Musselburgh, at around 10pm on Wednesday.

He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up, dark trousers and trainers at the time of the incident, which took place near the junction with Millhill Lane.

Inspector Andrew Harborow, of Tranent Police Station, said: "If anyone was in the area and recognises the description of this man, please contact us."

Witnesses should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 111 555.
