The death of a man found in the grounds of an Edinburgh secondary school is not being treated as suspicious.

Pupils discovered the body in a wooded area near the playing fields at Liberton High in the south of the city at lunchtime on Tuesday.

The man, named as Stephen Larnder, had been staying at a nearby hostel.

Police confirmed on Thursday the 51-year-old's death was "non-suspicious".

The city council previously said the matter did not relate to the school.
