Concern is growing for a woman who is missing from Fife.

Donna Wood was last seen at around 9.30pm on Wednesday at an address on Hilton Road in Rosyth.

Her family say they have not heard from her since and police are now appealing for help to trace the 31-year-old.

A spokesman said Ms Wood knows Rosyth well and may be walking in the local area.

The missing woman is described as 5ft 7in, of slim to medium build, with shoulder length brown hair, green eyes and a fair complexion.

When last seen she wearing a white sweatshirt, blue jeans and leather ankle boots.

Inspector Ian Stephen said: "Our concern for Donna is growing as more time passes and I'd urge anyone who has seen her to get in touch.

"Our search activity is currently being concentrated in the Rosyth area and we believe Donna will most likely still be in that area.

"I appeal to anyone who recognises her description to come forward and, in addition, I appeal directly to Donna to please get in touch so we can establish that you are alright."

Anyone who has seen Ms Wood is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.
