A woman who was travelling with children in the car was arrested after allegedly being caught six times over the drink-drive limit.

The 34-year-old was stopped while driving a Saab in Eyemouth in the Borders at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.

Police said at the time she had two children in the rear of the vehicle when she was questioned by officers on Seafield Place.

The force confirmed the driver has now been reported to the procurator fiscal.

Police Scotland said they are "robustly monitoring" routes in the Borders over the festive period.
