A parked car ploughed into two elderly pedestrians and a wall after being struck by another vehicle.

Three women, including a 91-year-old, were taken to hospital after the crash on Scoonie Road, Leven, Fife, on Thursday morning.

Police said a Honda Civic had crashed into the back of a Ford, which then collided into two pedestrians and a wall.

The female pedestrians, aged 91 and 72, were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy along with the 35-year-old woman who was driving the Honda.

The 72-year-old suffered serious injuries however they are not thought to be life-threatening.

A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.30am on Thursday.

The road was reopened around three hours later.
