A Hibs fan has admitted trying to punch Rangers player Lee Wallace during the pitch invasion after last year's Scottish Cup final.

Dale Pryde climbed over hoarding, ran towards the defender, acted aggressively and tried to hit him on May 21 at Hampden Park.

He ran towards opposing supporters and assaulted Rangers fan Jordan Gilmour by punching him on the head after the match, which Hibs won 3-2.

The 20-year-old also pleaded guilty to attacking Megan Boyd by hitting her on the body with a chair during the same incident.

Pryde, from Balerno in Edinburgh, initially appeared on petition at Glasgow Sheriff Court last June.

Prosecutors reduced the case to a summary complaint and he appeared on Thursday for his first public appearance.

He pleaded guilty to a charge contrary to the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act and two assault charges.

Sheriff Tony Kelly QC deferred sentence until later this month for reports.
